Ranks Telecom Ltd, a member of Rangs Group, launched its fixed line operation under the brand name of RanksTel on 14 April, 2005. Ranks Telecom Ltd. is registered with Registrar of Joint Stock Companies under Companies Act 1995 (Revised). We hold PSTN, ISP, IPTSP and ICX licenses to operate nationwide. RanksTel also has IGW license and currently originates and terminates international voice traffic.
RanksTel's physical infrastructure currently includes about 10 major hubs (switching and transmission) and more than 200 BTS sites across the country. We believe in sharing our resources with others rather than mindless replication and have co-location agreement with many operators. RanksTel is fully owned by local Bangladeshi entrepreneurs and has so far invested more than $75 million in building its network.

Ranks Telecom LimitedS. M. Ashiqur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer, Ranks Telecom Limited brings over 16 years of professional experience; with major tenure as Functional Head stationed at the global Headquarter of AT&T, The Neilson Company, Oracle and WPP in U.S.A. From ideation to implementation, Ashiqur Rahman has a proven track record in product portfolio management, research, project management and operational excellence. He has also held various leadership roles in local conglomerates in Bangladesh. He is committed to contribute in development of the ICT sector in Bangladesh. Ashiqur Rahman holds Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from University of Texas and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Management & Marketing Research from STERN School of Business, New York University. He is a member of American Chamber of Commerce Bangladesh and other notable associations.

Ranks Telecom LimitedMehnaz Kabir brings with her 17 years of professional experience with major tenure in Grameenphone Limited. She has extensive experience in marketing, communications, stakeholder relations, projects, policy and operational excellence. Prior to joining RanksTel, she served as Head of Communications in Ericsson Bangladesh. Ms. Kabir completed BBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Dhaka University and MBA from The Trinity University and College USA. A committed and value driven professional; Ms. Kabir believes in turning ideas into reality.
Chief Technology Officer
Ranks Telecom LimitedKhondoker Tasfin Alam was appointed as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) effective from May 2016. He brings over 13 years of experience from the telecom sector, holding senior management roles in different multinational companies across Europe, Asia, Africa and Middle East. Prior to joining RanksTel, he held the position of Head of Quality of Service at at Banglalink Digitial Communications Ltd. He was instrumental in launching all 2G & 3G data services for Banglalink. Prior to that, he served in Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) HQ office at Cairo, Egypt. He was also posted in Italy (Wind Telecomunicazioni SpA), Algeria (Djezzy) and Lebanon (Alfa Telecom). His expertise encompasses a range of areas, such as Business Plan, network planning & dimensioning, corporate & business strategy, service assurance & customer experience and Project management. Mr. Tasfin is an Electrical & Electronics Engineer by profession with a MBA from IBA, DU, along with Executive Certification degree from London Business School, UK.

Mobydur comes with a successful Track record of excelling across different segment sales and customer care business in Start-up environments.
